The central hub for endurance sports data and resources

Mission

EnduranceTrio is being built to become a reference point for endurance sports in Portugal, starting with triathlon and related multisport disciplines. The goal is clear: to build the best online archive of Portuguese triathlon while also creating a useful platform for following the sport as it continues to evolve.

The project starts from a simple belief: Portuguese triathlon has a rich, pioneering, and valuable history that deserves to be organized, preserved, and made accessible. Many race records, results, rankings, articles, and historical references remain scattered across old sources, difficult documents, or pages that have disappeared over time. EnduranceTrio exists to bring that information together with care, context, and continuity.

But this platform is not only about looking back. While the work begins with a historical foundation, the aim is also to follow the present and make more current data increasingly available. As the data model and workflows mature, EnduranceTrio will progressively bring in not only older editions, but also recent competitions and data published shortly after events are completed. The vision is to create a place where the history of the sport and its present day development can coexist naturally.

Over time, the platform will connect events, athletes, results, articles, and other elements into a searchable and useful ecosystem. That will allow visitors not only to look up facts, but also to discover relationships, compare race histories, follow progression, and uncover stories that would otherwise remain buried in PDFs, archived pages, and scattered sources. The goal is not simply to collect data, but to turn it into something useful and engaging for athletes, supporters, organizers, and anyone interested in endurance sports.

Historical preservation remains an essential part of the project because it gives context to the present. It helps recognize pioneers, value generations of participation, and make sure important moments in the sport are not lost. At the same time, the practical value of the data will become increasingly important as the platform evolves to include information that is more complete, more current, and available sooner.

Community will also play an important role in that evolution. Projects like this are never truly completed by one person alone. There will always be gaps to fill, documents to validate, rankings to confirm, and historical sources to digitize. EnduranceTrio also aims to become a place where the community can help strengthen the archive, correct details, and recover information that deserves to remain accessible in the future.

Alongside its historical and informational side, EnduranceTrio also includes technology with practical sports applications, including telemetry and tracking capabilities that can support live event use cases. This is part of the broader vision behind the project: connecting archive, data, analysis, and useful tools in one platform that keeps growing.

EnduranceTrio is being built step by step, with care for data quality and with a long-term vision. New information, new connections, and new features will continue to appear over time.

If you follow Portuguese triathlon, enjoy endurance sports, or simply value projects that preserve and deepen sports history, this is a place worth coming back to.
